Mach Schau is iconic[2][3] Australian rock group Hoodoo Gurus' eighth studio album. It was recorded eight years after their last studio album, Blue Cave, and released six years after the band had officially split in January 1998.
Their Australian single from the album, "Nothing's Changing My Life" was released a month earlier, while the U.S. single "When You Get to California" was released in April.[4] For its release outside Australia, under the EMI/Capitol Records label, Mach Schau was given new cover art (see below), and a revised sequence, with tracks "Isolation" and "Penelope's Lullaby" removed, and "White Night," "Monkey's Wedding" and "Song of the Year" added. The album's title is a reference to the German phrase, "make show", which The Beatles were told to do on each night's performance during their stay in Hamburg, Germany.
